Key Responsibilities.

  • Has a comprehensive knowledge of Project Management, possessing an excellent understanding of concepts and able to clearly explain to others.
  • Remains current in the application of the latest proven PM technologies and methods.
  • Leverages key problem solving tools (fishbone, brainstorming, etc.) to engage and leverage others in problem solving and decision analysis processes.
  • Identifies key problem elements and provides guidance through coaching to set path forward.
  • Manages process to bring forth recommendations that are respected by colleagues.
  • Challenges project plan time frame and resources to help ensure project is set up for success.
  • Rapidly focuses on key risk areas and ensures team provides right focus on those risks.
  • Consistently ensures delivery quality results through team effort, within constraints.
  • Consistently utilizes economic analyses to prioritize work and decisions based on value drivers.
  • Establishes and maintains personal cross-disciplinary networks to share information, facilitate cooperation and bring in new ideas and technology.
  • Facilitates project processes in a way that the participants can learn and ultimately utilize processes on their own.
  • Effectively communicates complex ideas in clear and concise fashion by grasping the essential information that must be conveyed.
  • Understands knowledge gaps and recommends key development activities for employees.
  • Sets clear goals for direct reports and others coached and holds individuals / teams accountable for results.
  • Coaches peers, and less experienced employees, effectively relaying concepts and techniques.

Qualifications & Skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a project manager, project controls manager in the Oil & Gas or Construction industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Mentoring/Coaching, Facilitation, Change Management, Decision-Making, Negotiating, Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and Primavera scheduling software
  • Excellent working knowledge of Scheduling, Cost and Estimating practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
